Recital and Costume Information

At the end of each dance year, an annual recital performance will be held, featuring each class in the production. Every student will require a costume for each dance they participate in. These costumes will be selected by the instructors and ordered promptly to ensure they arrive in time for photos and any additional decorations. Please note the following details:

 

Costume Information:

1. Sizing & Alterations:

• We order costumes from companies that mass-produce them. While we take measurements, sizing may sometimes vary. Studio 5 Performing Arts (S5PA) is not responsible for alterations.

• Costume deposits and balances cover the costume and accessories only and do not include any alteration costs.

2. Alterations:

• Many parents prefer to have costumes tailored to fit their child perfectly. If you feel adjustments are necessary, feel free to make those arrangements on your own.

 

 

Recital Fees:

 

Recital fees help cover the following:

• Venue rental

• Scenery and lighting costs

• Sound equipment rental

• Music recording

• Props

• Union labor fees/Security 

• An award for completing the year of dance

• A recital T-shirt for each student (sizes determined by S5PA)

 

Additional shirts for family members will be available for purchase. Forms for additional orders will be distributed in March/April.

Recital Costume Fees

• Single class costume (including Ballet): $100

• Ballet/Tap Combo class (2 costumes): $200

• Lyrical/Jazz/Tap Combo class: $300

 

Costume fees are split into two equal payments, which will be automatically debited using the payment information on file:

• Deposit (½ payment): September 20, 2025

• Balance (½ payment): October 20, 2025

 

Costumes will not be ordered until fees are paid in full. Late orders will incur additional shipping charges.

 

Recital Participation Fees

• Individual: $175

• Family: $250

 

Recital fees are also divided into two equal payments and will be debited using the payment information on file:

• Deposit (½ payment): February 20, 2027

• Balance (½ payment): March 20, 2027

 

Photography Fees

• All photography fees are set by and paid directly to the photographer.

• There is a mandatory $75 per photo charge for each child or family to appear on a quarter-page in the recital program.

• This fee is waived if at least $300 in ads are sold for the ad contest.

 

The Cover Girl/Boy packet, which includes details about photography and ad sales, will be available in late October.
